Prabhas Rebel Movie Review

Rebel Telugu Movie Review, Prabhas Rebel Movie Review, Rebel Telugu Movie Review, Rebel Movie Review, Rebel Reviews, Rebel Rating: After several hiccups, Young Rebel Star Prabhas's new movie 'Rebel' is finally hitting the screens today. The film is directed by Raghava Lawrence and produced by J Pulla Rao and J Bhagawan on Balaji Cine Media banner. Tamanna and Deeksha Seth play the female leads in Rebel. Check out Rebel Movie Review to know whether the movie has lived up to the expectations or not.

 Rebel Telugu Movie Review Story:

'Rebel' movie is all about Rishi(Prabhas) looking out for Stephen and Roberts who have killed his parents Mr& Mrs Bhupati(Krishnam Raju & Prabha). While searching for the killers, Rishi goes to Bangkok and meets Nandini(Tamanna), a hip-hop dance teacher. Rishi befriends Nandini to know the details about Stephen and Roberts. Will Nandini help Rishi to get the details of the killers? Will Rishi succeed in taking revenge of his parents death? has to be watched on the big screen.
Prabhas Rebel Movie Review Analysis:

Director Raghava Lawrence has underplayed Prabhas's character in the first half and apparently he doesn't have any clue on how to execute the script. The scenes between Prabhas and Tamanna in Bangkok are poorly etched  and are not up to the mark. To top it, the lame comedy scenes between Brahmanandam and Kovai Sarala will surely spoil the mood of the audience. The interval bang is outstanding and raises the expectations with fantastic elevation of hero's character. Prabhas with his rugged looks and mannerisms enthralls with a powerful fight. The story slowly unfolds into the flashback and surprisingly director Lawrence failed to carry the tempo and eventually lost the plot post interval.

The movie deviates and will test audience patience with hapless scenes and contrived screenplay. The length of second half is also a major concern and the movie goes on and on and on! The super hit song 'Rebel' fails to impress as the timing is inappropriate. Krishnam Raju's role is not justified and his diction, mannerisms are funny. Too much cinematic liberty with illogical scenes hampered the narration. And few scenes like a car with Andhra Pradesh registration in Bangkok, entering inside the temple with shoes and a beer bottle, a car jumping off  on top of helicopter are observed.  The action episodes could have been effectively handled. Prabhas's makeover as 'Rebel' and the styling is good. The audio of the film failed to draw attention and except for Keka Keka song none of them are catchy.

Rebel Telugu Movie Review TeluguOne Perspective:

'Rebel' is in the making from two years and one will expect a decent entertainer with a gripping screenplay. But, despite knowing the mass pulse, Lawrence as a director failed to make use of Prabhas in few departments and disappoints with slow narration and awful screenplay. He concentrated more on the style factor than the mandatory elements. Almost every scene in 'Rebel' resembles several movies and the storyline is stale as well.  Rather than taking two years to make this movie, he could have completed it at a fast pace. After two back to back hits like 'Darling' and 'Mr Perfect', Prabhas has chosen a routine subject that lacked the wow factor. Prabhas should be choosey in picking up the scripts and these kind of films will surely dent his image as a family hero. Overall, 'Rebel' is a half baked movie that is prolonged to test audience patience.

Prabhas Rebel Movie Review Performance:
Prabhas has put his heart out and delivered a good performance. He excelled in fights, dance movements (Keka Keka song) and sentiment scenes. Tamanna is a delight to watch and her role has few mass shades and yes, she did her best. Deeksha Seth is OK in a limited role. Krishnam Raju is satisfactory. Supreeth played a key role and his performance is commendable. Brahmandam is routine, Kovai Sarala is irritating! Others played their part well.

Rebel Telugu Movie Review Technicalities:
Marthand K Venkatesh's editing could have been better. Cinematography by C Ram Prasad is top class. Lawrence's direction is good in parts. Songs are mediocre and re-recording is a huge setback. There is too much of thread work in the fights.

Prabhas Rebel Movie Review Positives:
Prabhas action
Tamanna glamour

Prabhas Rebel Movie Review Negatives:
Awful screenplay
Prolonged second half
Songs

Rebel Telugu Movie Review Final word
: Watch if you have no choice!
Rebel Rating: 2.5/5

Prabhas suffering like Mahesh Babu :

Before Mahesh Babu attained the Super Stardom with films like ‘Murari’ and ‘Pokiri,’ one common belief shared by many was fingering of father Krishna into his son’s projects. None knows whether producers and directors wanted Krishna to play cameos in Mahesh’s flicks or was it Super Star’s deliberation to see him self more on big screen but the final results were dismal. Best examples are ‘Raja Kumarudu, Takkari Donga’ and ‘Vamsy.’
Now, prabhas seems to be in the same suffering position as his last release ‘Rebel’ has Krishnam Raju made fun in a cameo. The improper character etching by Lawrence has raised a question on whether it is Old Rebel Star’s acting instincts using the craze of prabhas or the other way around. Even ‘Billa’ has got similar presence of Krishnam Raju and the result is very much known. Some filmy buffs are viewing prabhas in the similar position as where Mahesh Babu stood when Krishna used to spoil his projects. If then it was Krishna, now it is Krishnam Raju. Of course, later on Mahesh Babu has never looked back and is now the front runner for Number One Tollywood Position. Wish that prabhas will realize the fact very soon.

Now, Charan follows Jr NTR

If the latest grapevine in Film Nagar is to be believed, the fears of Mega Fans have come true and the movie of ‘Nayak’ might withdraw from Pongal race. Yes, producer Danayya’s financial hardships are discussed as the reason behind and the way ‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Ram Babu’ is facing the heat of debates in Telugu film circles will have an extension with postponement in release date of ‘Nayak.’
In fact, this high budget and most anticipated flick of Cherry in the direction of VV Vinayak is in the making stages from a very long time. Both producer and director have built huge hype on the film by releasing the first stills few weeks ago. During the time when everything was going right for Mega Power Star’s career post ‘Racha,’ this is a big upset. However, we have also heard the same kind of news on ‘Baadshah’ pushed above Sankranti and now Cherry followed Junior NTR.

Krishnam Raju upset with 'Rebel'

Very rarely do we see two star heroes from the same family sharing the same screen. But, Fans of prabhas and Krishnam Raju are lucky because not once they are seen together twice. While the average result of ‘Billa’ in the direction of Meher Ramesh was surely disappointing now the Friday release of ‘Rebel’ is considered still more bad. As per the current updates, collection of this film are ought to drop from Monday (if it isn’t Telangana Bandh tomorrow).
More over, we are also hearing on prabhas has unnecessarily roped in Krishnam Raju for his dad’s character in the movie because there was no proper characterization for this elderly role. Instead of staying away from films, many are questioning as how come Krisham Raju too agreed for such ridiculous scenes. Definitely, one should learn from Lawrence on how not to direct these veterans.

How costly is Puri Jagannath?

Till now, we might have discussed majorly on the remunerations of Star Heroes but very few occasions we have got the knowledge on how high Star Directors are paid. As per the standards, Tamil Shankar will top the South list followed by Rajamouli and others. But, the latest buzz about ‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Ram Babu’ is making many to offer a tongue in cheek expression knowing the salary to be paid for puri jagannath per each project.
Yes, sources say that Puri demanded nearly Rs.10 to 11 Crores from Danayya for ‘CGR’ which is currently in financial crisis. If this true, one can surely confirm of this ace director charging more than even the likes of Rajamouli. If Puri is paid 11 and Pawan paid at least 10 followed by Tamanna and other technicians, can you estimate what is the overall budget of ‘Ram Babu’? We can find many answers on why Tollywood is degrading in standards, if one gets an answer for above question.
